Norse warrior Valkyrie
In Norse mythology, valkyries are female figures who have power over death, defeat, and victory in battle. Among the fallen warriors on the battlefield, they choose the most honourable and send half of them to Odin in Valhalla and the other half to Freyja in Fólkvangr.
The valkyries are often described as fierce warriors on wild horses, often riding in groups, not only across the ground but also through the air. They welcome fallen warriors, especially in Valhalla, where they serve mead to the Æsir (the gods) and mortal warriors.
